peroxide free whitening strips, explained

what are peroxide free whitening strips?

they're whitening strips made without hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, the peroxide ingredients traditional whitening strips are built on. they use a different brightening ingredient instead.

what does beam smile co. use instead of peroxide?

PAP+. on the ingredient list you'll find it as phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid, PAP for short. it's the brightening ingredient at the heart of beam, and it's how beam lifts the surface stains that coffee, tea, and wine leave behind.

do peroxide free whitening strips work?

beam brightens and lifts surface stains: the ones that settle on the outside of your teeth from coffee, matcha, red wine, and everything else you drink.

why we made ours peroxide free

we wanted a formula that doesn't rely on peroxide to lift surface stains. so the whole formula is built around PAP+ instead.

peroxide free and dissolving

beam is also a dissolving strip: a soft, thin film you press onto your teeth that dissolves on its own in 10 to 15 minutes. there's nothing to peel off.

how to choose peroxide free whitening strips

start with the ingredient list: peroxide free strips won't list hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. then compare how long each treatment takes, how many treatments come in a box, and the flavour. read the directions and cautions before you buy.

for reference, beam is peroxide free, takes about 30 minutes per treatment, has 7 treatments in a box, is vegan, and comes in wild mint.

before you start

if you have dental work or any concerns about your teeth, talk to your dentist before starting anything new. not for children under 16. do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have existing dental or gum problems, or an allergy to any listed ingredient. avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse well with water. do not swallow strips. stop use if irritation occurs and talk to your dentist.

shop beam

beam works on surface stains only. results may vary, and the effect is temporary. beam isn't a medical or dental treatment, and it doesn't replace a visit to your dentist.
